The City Lake Oswego contracted with PBI to create a more eco-friendly stretch of roadway. The project featured construction of swales and plantings intended to slow the water down, allowing vegetation to filter out its pollutants. The series of raingardens were created, culminating at a water feature, to remove sediment from storm water runoff from streets, parking areas and surrounding areas. A walkway through the vegetated area completed a link as a safe route for children to a nearby elementary school. The project scope included: earthwork; grading; fine grading; concrete; asphalt; striping; rockery; wetlands.
